Welcome to Oxyor

The competition is played in a virtual dealing room created by connecting 30 computers in a network. Each computer represents the trading desk of one trader, at which the participant has access to news, phone lines (in- and outbound) and (historical) graphs of the traded security.

You can compete for the top spots even without any prior knowledge of trading and the traders trophy worldwide is open to students from all disciplines.

the qualification rounds

The qualification rounds are held locally at or near the university. During the two hours of the qualification round, you get instructions, perform a dry run of the system, and then trade for 60 minutes. After the session you receive your results. Two or three of these rounds are organised per university.

During the qualification session you will trade one equity. You will have the possibility to buy or sell in the virtual market, or contact other participants to request or provide a quote. For a demo of the simulation software click here »

the final

If you are amongst the top 5 traders of your university, you will earn a spot in the final of the traders trophy. During this final you will compete with the best traders of the other participating universities, which means you can expect the level of competition to be higher. To make it even more difficult you will be trading not one but three equities from different industries. The best trader will receive the title 'best student trader of the country' and prizes are available for the top three.
